Core Features

Every Cloud Storage Feature Your Business Needs

One centralised cloud drive with intelligent nested permission controls, secure external sharing, real-time collaboration, and a full audit trail of every action.

Nested Folder & File Management

Create unlimited folder hierarchies — folders inside folders inside folders. Each level can have its own permission rules, independently from the parent folder.

  • Unlimited nested sub-folder depth
  • Permission inherit or override per folder level
  • File versioning — restore any previous version
  • Bulk upload, drag-and-drop, in-browser preview
AI: Auto-tags and categorises uploaded files

Granular Role-Based Access Control

Admin assigns permissions per user or group — Read Only, Write Only, or Read+Write — at every single folder level including deeply nested sub-folders.

  • Per-folder, per-user permission assignment
  • Parent permissions inherit to sub-folders by default
  • Override any sub-folder with different permissions
  • Group permissions — manage entire departments at once
AI: Recommends permission tightening based on activity

Internal & External File Sharing

Share folders with internal team members via permission grants, or generate secure time-limited links for clients, vendors, and auditors outside your organisation.

  • Internal: share by user, role, or department group
  • External: secure links with expiry + password option
  • Download count limits and access tracking
  • Revoke any link instantly from admin dashboard
AI: Flags unusual external access patterns

Full Audit Trail & Activity Log

Every upload, download, edit, share, and permission change is logged with timestamp, user identity, and IP address. Immutable and exportable for compliance.

  • Complete activity log per file, folder, and user
  • Filter by action, user, folder, or date range
  • Export audit logs as CSV/PDF for audit firms
  • Real-time alerts on sensitive file actions
AI: Anomaly detection on unusual file access

File Versioning & Auto Backup

Every file edit creates a new version — never lose data due to accidental overwrites. Restore any version in seconds. Automated daily backups with 30-day retention.

  • Up to 30 versions retained per file
  • One-click restore to any previous version
  • 30-day recycle bin with admin restore
  • Automated daily incremental backups
AI: Predicts storage usage growth

Mobile App — Manage Files on the Go

Employees can upload, view, and share files from the i-Spur mobile app on Android and iOS. Managers can review access requests and approve external link shares on the go.

  • Upload from phone camera or gallery directly
  • Offline access for files marked for offline use
  • Push notifications on file activity in shared folders
  • Available for Android and iOS
AI: Smart search across all your files
Nested Permission System

Set Different Permissions at Every Folder Level

Parent folders, sub-folders, and sub-sub-folders can each have completely independent permission rules — or inherit from the parent. The admin controls everything.

Internal & External Sharing

Two Types of Sharing. One Admin in Control.

Share with your internal team through permission grants, or with external parties through secure expiring links. The admin sees and controls everything.

Folder + permission set
Inherit or override sub-folders
User sees only their data

Users cannot see folders they don't have permission for — not even folder names.

Enterprise Security

Secure Enough for Your Most Sensitive Business Files

Built on zero-trust principles — every access request is verified, every action logged, every file encrypted.

AES-256 Encryption

All files encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Even i-Spur staff cannot access your unencrypted data.

Zero-Trust Access

Every request verified against current role and permissions — even within the same organisation. No implicit trust.

DPDPA Compliant

Fully compliant with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Data stored in India. No foreign server transfers.

Immutable Audit Trail

Every view, download, edit, share, and permission change is logged and cannot be altered. Export for compliance audits.

File Versioning

Up to 30 previous versions per file. Restore any version instantly — full protection against accidental overwrites.

Malware Scanning

Every uploaded file scanned for malware and viruses before storage. Infected files quarantined automatically.

"We used to email large files back and forth and had no idea who had what version. With i-Spur Cloud Storage, our CA firm has read-only access to our Q1 financial folder through a secure link, while our accounts team can upload and edit within the same parent folder. The nested permission system is exactly what we needed."

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. By default, sub-folders inherit the permission of their parent folder — so if a user has Read+Write on Finance Documents, they also have Read+Write on every sub-folder inside it. However, the admin can override any sub-folder with a completely different permission. For example, the parent Finance Documents folder can have Read+Write for the accounts team, while the nested Salary Records sub-folder is set to No Access for the same user. This works at any depth — sub-sub-folders can also have their own independent rules.
Yes. An admin can generate an external share link for any specific sub-folder without exposing the parent folder or any sibling folders. The external user only sees the exact sub-folder they've been given a link for — they cannot navigate to the parent folder or any other folders. This makes it safe to share Q1 Reports with your CA without exposing your entire Finance Documents folder.
Write Only is ideal for submission-style folders — like a document collection box. Users with Write Only permission can upload files to that folder but cannot see other users' files in the same folder. For example, if multiple employees are submitting their expense reports to a central folder, each person can only see and manage their own submission — not their colleagues'. The admin and HR can see everything. It's also useful for vendors uploading invoices to your accounts team.
Access is revoked immediately. For internal users, the admin removes them from the user list and their access is removed across all assigned folders instantly — including all nested sub-folders they had inherited access to. For external share links, the admin can find the link in the External Links dashboard and click Revoke — the link stops working immediately, even if the recipient has bookmarked it.
There is no limit on folder nesting depth. You can create folders as deep as your organisation requires — Company → Department → Project → Year → Month → Client, for example. Permissions can be configured independently at every level. In practice, most companies find 3 to 5 levels sufficient for clear organisation.
